How long does the products take to work? I also read on the the website that you will feel a burning sensation...how long does that last? Will my face turn red and peel? If I will still turn red and peel how long does it take to go away? Is this for daily use or occassional, for instance a month before a big event?
The Obagi System does increase the skin cell cycle so in the initial phase of treatment you will expierence some redness and peeling but you have to remember that this peeling is crucial in getting the best possible results. When the skin is peeling you will notice that brand new skin cells are coming to the surface and the old disregulated skin cells are shedding off. In order to have perfect skin that is blemish free and even in its tone and color the skin must peel. This redness and peeling only lasts about two weeks and is not noticably bad. You can wear makeup over the products as well as control these reactions by using Action and Tolereen. The Obagi Vitamin C also works great at controlling the reaction. If the Obagi products did not cause the old skin to exfoliate off and bring new skin cells to the surface then it would be like every other product on the market that delivers no visible changes.
