| I am 35 yrs and have just started the Obagi System. I was told you were only suppose to use the system 2 years and then give your skin a break. Has anyone else heard this?

| I have never heard that. I did hear you can back off of the hydoquine. Plus you are on the maintenance plan. That doenst make sense to me. I was on a website the other day, I cant remember which one. I heard people have been on it for a long time, with beautiful skin of course. Not sure how long the system has been around. Maybe a question for Dr. Obagi.

| I've heard of people being on it 6 years or so and loving it too. That's why I was curious. As for the maintenance plan, do you mean that you "go to the maintenance plan" phase?

| Not quite sure I understand your question. Once you get throught the first two or three skin cycles, you start the maintenance phase and just adhere to that . That usually means all the peeling has stopped and your skin has adjusted. I did hear to shock your skin every three months or so, that means going back to the original regimen and then going back to maintenance again, I think that is if you really feel the need. Hope this helps. Bye the way, do you go on the ytf forum?

Hi Tina,
I am sue from ytf. I posted this website. I love ytf. I was actually convinced to go back on obagi by all the good feedback there. I dont even no how I found the website a few months ago, but glad I did. It is great!

How funny. You know, I just lucked upon YTF and was hooked. I was in the process of trying to figure out a skin-care routine and was looking up several products and happened upon it. I was so tired of skipping from product to product, never really sticking with one because I'd learn about a new one and try that next. I couldn't figure out what was and wasn't working. I got on YTF and heard raves about Obagi and CPs. It's so nice to hear from others who have tried the products and love or loathe them.
Keep me posted on your progress. I'm peeling away and really do see smoother skin already! The best thing is other people have tried- and like- the regimine and help out soooo much. Also, since I'm not "product-jumping", I can figure out what is helping (or not)

| I know how you feel. One doctor tells me one thing and gives me all these products to use. I am just going to try obagi again and deal with it. The end results will be worth it. Just cant stand the peeling. I am on day two. Keep in touch. Wish more people would join this forum, although you get alot of info at YTF. I love sharing my knowledge too. Take Care.

Wow! You're right at the beginning. Ah, nothing lasts forever, the peeling will get better. I freaked at first wondering if mine was worse than most. ha ha (scary then!) I have a cabinet full of products that have been recommended. Problem is most were by the company or by a doctor who hadn't used them or who sold them. This time I listened to the forum and asked my doctor to pick from MY choices. She was awesome.
Good luck!

I see you received the link. Sorry, my computer was wiped out and unaccessible to me for a few days. You never know how much you rely on something until it's gone. Not only couldn't I work, but I couldn't get to YTF either! lol The site really is awesome and everyone is incredibly helpful.
