I've been wanting to try the Obagi line of products.  Can you tell me how you compare or differ from Proactive?:?

Obagi is different than Proactive because it is a Prescription Skin Care Line that contains 4% Hydroquinone, Retinoic Acid , Exfoliating Acids , Vitamin C and Sunscreen that are all designed to work in tandem in restoring skin health.  Proactive products only contain antibacterial agents that fight against acne.  Obagi not only clears up acne but it evens the skin tone, and encourages collagen synthesis.

Obagi is a more comprehensive, aggressive skin care system that effects all aspects of skin care needs where as Proactive only treats acne.

i've been wanting to try it myself, ... but will it work on acne w/ sensitive skin. strong medications seem to aggravate my skin even more.

thanks!

hi cory1,
i pulled this from Obagi's Official Site....

Q: I have sensitive skin, can I use Obagi Nu-Derm System?

A: Yes, your doctor will design a specific program for your skin type and color, and will determine the proper course of action that is right for you and your lifestyle.

as always, you should check with your Derm to customize an Obagi Regimen thats right for you.

Hi Cory,

Yes the Obagi system will work for you but you have to understand that it will take time for you to see results.  I would recommend that you use the system in a gradual program.  For example use gentle Cleanser, Exfoderm and start off on a low dose of Tretinoin in combination with the Blender and Clear.

Obagi does work great on sensitive skin types and has had incredible results with clearing up acne
